This guitar started out as a 6-string tremolo-equipped Ibanez. I had the body sitting around from an earlier project, and I had been wanting to try seven-string guitar for a while. The natural solution was to rework the body to accept a seven-string neck and pickups, and build a new guitar around it.
Cleaning up the tremolo rout
Installing the fills
Pickup and battery box cavities routed
Mockup
Nut
The headstock and body are finished in nitrocellulose lacquer over Duplicolor metallic black. The "Ibanez" logo is a vinyl decal I bought on eBay.
The finished guitar is lots of fun -- I really like playing seven-string.
